Based in the New Forest, we are a family run business that sources and restores furniture. 

Cwtch Bach is all about the love of furniture.

Ask someone who knows what a ‘cwtch’ is and often they’ll give you a fond smile, this is because a cwtch is evocative – it has the magical quality of transporting you back to the safety of your childhood. 

This corresponds with the word’s other meaning, which is a place to safely store things – if you give someone a cwtch, you're figuratively giving them a ‘safe place’.

This is what Cwtch Bach Furniture is all about. We love every piece of furniture, it's not just about making something that will give you that special 'Cwtch' feeling inside every time you look at it, it's also about giving the item a 'safe-place' where it will be loved.

We are obsessive about detail and spend many hours pondering what to do with each piece of furniture.

Sometimes, we'll often start again as our development of the furniture is very organic. Our mantra is if we wouldn't have it in our own home, then we won't let it go.

We have a robust Quality Assurance process with all pieces prior to it leaving our workroom going through. Everything come with instructions as well as pots of the paint or wax for up keep.

If you can't see something you like, we have many pieces in storage that are waiting to be "Cwtched" to a custom order just for you.
